Privacy

WonderLab is designed for children and families. We collect only what is needed to provide the experience, keep it safe, and give parents visibility and control.

What we collect

• Adult account and sign-in information.
• Parent controls, consent choices, and access status.
• Saved creations, learning progress, coding progress, and account settings.
• Limited activity and error information needed to operate and improve WonderLab.
• When Privacy-First Learning Intelligence is enabled, structured lesson signals such as curriculum objective/item IDs, correct or incorrect outcome, selected multiple-choice option, hint use, and a coarse response-time bucket. These learning signals use a random research learner key rather than the account name or email.
• Information adults submit through access, feedback, or contact forms.

Privacy-first learning improvement

WonderLab includes an optional Learning Intelligence system designed to evaluate which explanations, practice items, and hints are associated with better learning. When enabled, this research stream is intentionally separate from general product analytics and uses a random research learner key.

• Child names, account emails, raw chat, raw free-text answers, passwords, precise location, and device fingerprints are not included in the Learning Intelligence event stream.
• Response time is stored only as a broad bucket rather than a precise keystroke or typing trace.
• Shadow mastery estimates and suggested next teaching actions are evaluated for research and quality measurement; they do not currently change the production Learn path.
• This Learning Intelligence feature does not send its structured learning-event dataset to an external AI model provider.
• Parents can export or delete Learning Intelligence records associated with their family account through Parent Controls.

What children should not enter

Children should not enter private details such as a home address, phone number, school ID, password, medical information, or anything they would not want a parent or teacher to see.

Parent visibility and control

Parents can review activity, manage access, adjust time limits, and delete supported account data from the Parent area.

How information is used

• To provide WonderLab features and save progress.
• To maintain safety, parent controls, and account access.
• To identify errors and improve the experience.
• To respond to support, account, licensing, or other contact requests.
